Website Accessibility Review & Improvement Package

A flat-fee WordPress service designed to help strengthen an existing website through focused review, thoughtful improvements, and clear next steps.

This package is designed to improve the accessibility of your WordPress website in meaningful, concrete ways. It is not legal advice, a formal accessibility certification service, or a guarantee of full or ongoing compliance. As websites evolve, content changes, and accessibility best practices continue to develop, a fresh accessibility pass can be a smart next step.

Flat fee: $2,500

Why this service exists

Accessibility is ongoing work. A website can be well built and still benefit from a fresh review as standards evolve, best practices improve, and new content gets added.

For many organizations, the challenge is simply knowing where to start. Accessibility can feel technical, open-ended, and easy to put off, especially when the alternative sounds like a huge consulting engagement or a massive report with no clear path forward.

This package is meant to offer a clearer next step. It combines structured review, focused improvement work, and optional training so your website can move in a stronger direction without turning the process into something overwhelming.

What’s included

This package includes a focused accessibility review of one standard WordPress website, along with improvement work designed to strengthen the site and give your team clearer next steps.

Included in the package:

  • Review of the website’s key templates, major page types, and important user flows, rather than a manual review of every single page.
  • Structured testing using tools such as Lighthouse, WAVE, and custom WordPress accessibility tools I’ve developed for my own client work.
  • Prioritized improvement work within scope, focused mainly on technical, structural, and WordPress-level accessibility issues.
  • Targeted runtime enhancements where appropriate to help improve accessibility outcomes.
  • A short written report that summarizes the work in a clear, readable format.
  • A recorded walkthrough so you have a useful reference after the project is complete.
  • Optional training to help your team maintain stronger accessibility practices going forward.
  • A short follow-up period after delivery for questions, clarification, and minor wrap-up items related to the completed work.

What this helps improve

The goal of this package is to make your website more accessible, more usable, and easier to maintain over time. Depending on the site, that may include improvements such as:

  • stronger heading structure and page hierarchy
  • better labels, links, and navigation patterns
  • cleaner form and button behavior
  • fewer obvious accessibility issues across key pages
  • improved Lighthouse accessibility scores on reviewed pages
  • reduction of major issues surfaced through WAVE and related testing tools
  • clearer guidance for future publishing and content updates

This work can also help reduce obvious issues that create friction, confusion, or unnecessary risk over time, while giving your organization a clearer sense of what has been improved and what still falls outside the scope of this package.

What’s not included

To keep this service clear and manageable, the package does not include everything that may affect accessibility.

It does not include:

  • legal advice
  • formal accessibility certification
  • a guarantee of full or ongoing compliance
  • manual review of every single page on the website
  • broad manual cleanup of all site content
  • PDF remediation
  • video captioning, transcript work, or media remediation
  • third-party tools, embeds, widgets, or external platforms outside the core WordPress website
  • ongoing accessibility monitoring or support after the project is complete

If your organization needs a formal accessibility compliance engagement, a large-scale manual audit, PDF or video remediation, or broader support across complex systems, a more specialized accessibility provider may be a better fit.

FAQ

Is this a full accessibility compliance or certification service?
No. This package is meant to help improve the accessibility of a WordPress website through review, improvement work, reporting, and training. It is not legal advice, a certification service, or a guarantee of full or ongoing compliance.

Is this only for websites you originally built?
No, but it is especially well suited to existing clients and websites I already know well. In those cases, I can usually work more efficiently and make stronger improvements within a flat-fee scope.

Will you review every page on the site?
Not necessarily. This is not a manual review of every URL. The work focuses on key templates, major page types, important user flows, and broader scanning where helpful.

Will you fix every issue that gets found?
No. The package includes prioritized improvement work within scope. Some issues may fall outside that scope, especially when they involve PDFs, videos, third-party tools, or broader content and organizational processes.

Do I have to do the training?
No. The package includes a recorded walkthrough and optional training, but participation is up to your team. If you are too busy to use it right away, the project can still be completed as delivered.

What if my site needs something more extensive?
If the site turns out to be unusually large or complex, or if you need a more formal compliance-focused engagement, I’ll say so clearly and recommend the best next step.
